Aus der Ideenbox gezaubert/ pulled out of the notion box

Ich habe mich eigentlich schon immer für umweltbewußt gehalten. Seitdem Erik allerdings auf der Welt ist, beginne ich, immer noch mehr Möglichkeiten zu sehen, Recourcenschonend zu leben und zu arbeiten. Die Gründe dafür sind sicher vielfältig; das hehere Ziel, meinen Anteil zu leisten, der nächsten Generation nich noch mehr Müll, Gift und zerstörte Umwelt zu hinterlassen und auch ganz profan: ich bin oft einfach nicht bereit zig Euro für z.B. Kleidung auszugeben, die er bestenfalls nur 1-2 Monate tragen kann. 

Also kam mir gestern diese Idee:

Mützen kann so ein kleiner Knirps ja eigentlich nie genug haben. Dieses Exemplar entstand aus einem T-Shirt, dass ich vor Jahren in Irland gekauft, aber höchstens 2 mal getragen habe. Wirklich einfach zu nähen, alles was man braucht ist der Kopfumfang des zukünftigen Trägers. Davon wird es sicher noch mehr geben - auch im Shop, denn ich war derart begeistert von der Einfachheit und dem Probetragen beim Wocheneinkauf, bei dem ich auch auf das Teil angsprochen wurde, dass ich noch mehr geeigneten Stoff gefunden und dafür reserviert habe.

Noch eine Idee, die sie umsetzen will? Ja, noch eine :) Doch um endlich einmal auch eine Chance zu haben, meine Ideen auch wirklich zu realisieren und nicht wieder zu vergessen, habe ich gestern endlich meine "Ideenbox" aufgestellt:

Die Schachtel war ursprünglich die Verpackung von Omas Ostergeschenk für Erik, ich find sie niedlich, aber vor allem zählen hier die inneren Werte:

Das war nur die erste Ausbeute gestern abend. Die Idee ist, dass ich einfach schnellstmöglich eine neue Idee aufschreibe, den Zettel hier hienein lege und dann, wenn ich mal KEINE Ideen habe, einfach die Schachtel zu Rate ziehen und etwas davon umsetzen kann. Schaun wir mal, wie gut das klappt ;)


Die erste Umsetzung folgte dann auch spontan. Eine alte Schubladenbox von Ikea, die ich ursprünglich mehr schlecht als recht schwarz lasiert hatte, sollte, dem "neuen" Arbeitszimmer entsprechend weiß + shabby werden:

Sie wurde einfach mit einer Schicht altweißem, matten Lack besprüht, neu eingeräumt und, da ich keine Schilder oder Etikettenhalter zum Anschrauben hatte, mit ausgedruckten und handbeschrifteten Etiketten beklebt. Wo ehemals unbeachtetes Chaos herrschte (denn in ihr war alles mögliche unsortiert verstaut) gibt es jetzt übersichtlichen Platz für Knöpfe, Verschlüsse und Nähnadeln aller Art.


Und dann gab es noch einen Neuzugang im Shop:

Ebenfalls aus der Idee des Recycelns entstanden. Ich hatte diese Lichter aus alten Konserven- und Babybreigläsern schon in einem der daily 3x3 erwähnt, diese beiden sind nun die ersten, die zum Verkauf stehen. Weitere sind bereits fertig, nur richtig gute Fotos wollten bisher einfach noch nicht entstehen, aber ich arbeite dran :)

I allways thought of me as a green -minded one. But since Erik was born I actually find myself thinking of even more ways to live and work eco friendly. For several reasons, of course. Let it be the high aim to leave this planet to his generation with not more of waste, poison and destroyed nature or let it be the much more profan reason of me beeing unwilling to spend lots of money for e.g. cloths that he only wears 1 or 2 months.

So yesterday I had this stylish green idea:

One can´t have enough caps for the little ones. This exemplar was made out of an old t-shirt, I had bought some years ago in Ireland, but only wore one or two times. Really easy sewing that was! All you need to know is the head circumference of the future owner. I guess, I´ll make more of them, for the shop as well, because I was really pleased how it came out, plus I was asked by some women, where to get these when we were shopping and Erik wore it yesterday.

Gosh, yet another idea she wants to realize? Yes, yet another one :) But, to finally get to a point where I acually can remember all the ideas I had, I started to use a "notion box" yesterday:

It came as a gift wrapping for Eriks easter present from his granny. I like it, but what´s even more important here are the inner values:

This was only the result of the 1st brainstorming yesterday night. Idea is, that I write down all ideas immediately and put the notes into this box. In case I come to a point, where I have NO ideas at all, I´d just grap the notes and make something "out of the box". We´ll see, how good this will work


First realization was made yesterday right after that: an old box by Ikea, which I had painted black some years ago, should be re-painted for a while now. So I varnished it white, re-organized it and since I had no labels to screw on at hand, I simply printed out some and hand-wrote the content of the boxes on them.

Another green idea, I had mentioned it in one of the daily 3x3´s, more lights will follow and be on sale soon, they´re ready actually, but I need to get better pictures of them first. But - as usual - I´m working on that :)
